segment #1 SNL’s Hilarious Fiscal Cliff Skit Slams Some Republicans For Not Even Considering Tax Increases Saturday Night Live took on the fiscal cliff with its cold opener over the weekend, wherein “President Barack Obama” and “House Speaker John Boehner announced they had finally come to a deal.

The deal might surprise you: Obama has agreed to conditions more favorable to Boehner and other Republicans. But that’s because he feels bad for Boehner after the way Republicans were treating him for “even considering raising taxes.”

“Leave this poor, orange man alone,” said Obama, who is played by Jay Pharoah.

Wreckage of Singer Jenni Rivera’s Plane Found (Newser) – Mexican-American superstar Jenni Rivera appears to have perished along with six other people when their Learjet crashed in mountainous terrain near Monterrey, Mexico, authorities say. “There is nothing recognizable, neither material nor human” in the wreckage, which has been scattered over a large area by the force of the impact Mexico’s transportation minister says. Authorities have not yet confirmed that the 43-year-old was aboard the plane, the AP reports.

Rivera, who was born and raised in Long Beach, California, had played a concert in Monterrey before the plane crash. The mother of five was at the peak of her fame as a star of the regional “grupero” style of music, and was also a successful businesswoman and one of NBCUniversal’s biggest TV stars. Tributes have poured in from media and celebrities in Mexico. “My friend! Why? There is no consolation. God, please help me!” Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio tweeted.

Bitcoins join global bank network
A currency exchange that specialises in virtual cash has won the right to operate as a bank.

Bitcoin-Central got the go-ahead thanks to a deal with French financial firms Aqoba and Credit Mutuel.

The exchange is one of many that swaps bitcoins, computer generated cash, for real world currencies.

The change in status makes it easier to use bitcoins and bestows national protections on balances held at the exchange.

Adele Facing Fine After Failing to Register Baby
She may be a new mom, but Adele may have already forgot one very important step of the child-rearing process: registering your baby!

The “Rumor Has It” singer and her fiancé, Simon Konecki, allegedly failed to register -or make an appointment to register – their new addition within the 42-day limit, according to Britain’s The Sun.

It’s been 51 days since Adele reportedly gave birth, and the couple faces a maximum fine of 1,000 British pounds. The newspaper reports that the couple will soon likely receive warning letters, and if the birth hasn’t been registered within three months, the registrar becomes liable and can be fined.

Adele announced her pregnancy back in June before giving birth sometime this fall, but few other details are known about her newborn son, including his name.

While FOX 32′s Larry Yellen was interviewing the dog’s owners, two police officers drove by the home. 90 minutes later, they came back, asked why Phillips why he had contacted the media and gave him a ticket for not keeping Colonel on a leash.

“They were giving us a ticket, three days after the fact,” says Phillips.

Closing Thoughts on WW3 Pamela Andersonn Owes More Than $350,000 In Unpaid Taxes Pamela Anderson is the lastest in a string of celebrities to find herself in trouble with the IRS.

The former “Baywatch” actress was hit with two tax liens totaling $371,514.65, reports TMZ.

According to the website, the 45-year-old owes the IRS $259,395.75 for unpaid taxes in 2011, and she also owes the State of California $112,118.90 in unpaid taxes for the same year.

As TMZ notes, this isn’t Anderson’s first run-in with the IRS. In 2010, she had another tax lien filed against her for $1.7 million in unpaid taxes.

Anderson joins other celebrities, including Stephen Baldwin and Lindsay Lohan, who are also in trouble for not coughing up cash to the government. On Dec. 6, Baldwin was charged with failing to pay New York state taxes for three years, amassing a $350,000 debt, while Lohan’s bank accounts have been seized by the IRS because she reportedly owes a total of $233,904.
