Erick Erickson Begins Tenure At Fox News And Good Luck With That, Karl Rove! Erick Erickson, best known for being the Lord Grantham of conservative website RedState, is newly ensconced as an on-air contributor to the Fox News Network. It’s a move that seems like destiny, delayed only by Erickson’s brief tenure as one of the 479 talking-head pundits that CNN would deploy to blather its audiences into a comatose state.
I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether you think of this as positively as Business Insider’s Brett LoGiurato (who manages to simultaneously note the “more than a few controversial statements Erickson has made over the past few years that could get him into hot water at the network” and still call him a producer of “measured commentary”), but it’s hard to quibble with what Fox News gains by adding Erickson, when weighed alongside some of the networks more celebrated recent departures.
Bill O’Reilly Defends NBC Drone Errors By Attacking ‘Far Left Loons’ (VIDEO) On his Thursday show, Bill O’Reilly slammed what he called “far left loons” who accused him of getting his facts wrong earlier in the week.
On Wednesday, O’Reilly (along with guest Bob Beckel) said that he had seen “nothing” about President Obama’s controversial drone program on NBC in recent days — despite the fact that it was NBC which broke the latest news about the program, thus providing O’Reilly with a reason to bash NBC for its subservience to Obama.
Multiple websites (including this one) pointed out this flub, and O’Reilly promised to address the matter on Thursday.
And address it he did! “More deceit from the far left!” he boomed at the end of his show. “For 17 long years, these loons have been trying to marginalize me.”
Hacker Reveals That Since Leaving The White House, George W. Bush Has Become An Amazing Painter A hacker named Guccifer apparently got access to private emails and photos from the Bush family, and has sent them along to The Smoking Gun.
The cache includes several photos of paintings allegedly made by former President George W. Bush and sent to his family and friends. (It was reported late last year that the former president had picked up painting as a hobby.)
The Secret Service is investigating the hack, according to ABC News.

California authorities say the whereabouts of a fugitive former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three murders remains a mystery as thousands of officers continue to search for the suspect across three states and into Mexico.
“He could be anywhere at this point,” said San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon as authorities focused on the area surrounding Bear Mountain Ski Resort.
Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, is considered extremely dangerous and armed with multiple weapons, authorities say. He is accused of killing a college basketball coach and her fiance last weekend, then following through on a vow to kill police by opening fire Wednesday night on three officers, killing one.
